Type of tour: walk inside the villages and taste a different local delicacy/wine in each one of them, guided by your local expert guide. Move between the villages by train and by ferry (sea permitting).This version of the tour does not include hiking along the footpaths.
Suitable for: individuals and small groups.
Transportation: arrive at the meeting point with your own mean of transport and move between the villages by train and ferry (sea permitting). On request pick up/drop off with private English driver can be arranged.
Duration: 7 hrs approx.

Meeting place: La Spezia train station by the tobacconist, if you stay in the 5 Terre or in the Riviera, another meeting point will be planned.

Meet your guide in La Spezia and take the train to Riomaggiore, walk along the panoramic footpath (paved) that leads from the new to the old part of the village and from where have a view of the “Via dell’Amore”, the rest of Cinque Terre coast, the harbor, the old Riomaggiore. Walk by the ancient church of St. John the Baptist and approach the main street where will be tasted some farinata (chickpea flan).
After some free time, meet your tour guide and take the ferry to Monterosso.
A pleasant ferry ride will take you to Monterosso, the largest village of the Cinque Terre and the only one with the beach. Your local tour guide will make you explore the old town, walk its shady alleys and visit a tiny “Oratorio” with some mysterious sculptures. Another tasting will be done including Cinque Terre white wines.
Free time for lunch and eventual shopping.
In the early afternoon take the train to Vernazza, the pearl of Cinque Terre. Explore with your local guide the back-streets of the village, full of charm and never busy. If you want to enjoy the stunning view of the village from the hiking path leading to Monterosso. Here you might like to have a home-made gelato.
Take the train to Manarola is one of the smallest villages, it develops uphill as far as the church and from there you may choose to walk through the vineyards or through the upper side of the village. If you feel too tired, just stroll down the main street as far as the marina and taste the local sweet wine called Sciacchetrà.
Return to La Spezia by train.
