The walking tours take place inside towns on flatly paved streets, certain hilltop towns or the Cinque Terre villages might have some up/downhill walking, stairs to climb or descend, getting on and off boats. For these tours is recommended to dress for the season:
Light: no special skills are required and even people without a fitness base will enjoy these trips. The guided walks take place mostly on flat or slightly sloping surfaces, with a possibility of few steps to climb. If there are people with certain disabilities or needing to move with the wheelchair, please inform us, we will design a tour fitting your needs.
Moderate: the walking tours involve some up/downhill walking, climb 3-4 flights of stairs in necessary, step on and off of big/small boats and trains if needed. For example walking in the villages of Cinque Terre or around Siena, Montepulciano, San Gimignano.
Challenging: you should be able to walk all day up/downhill, climb several flights of steps, hop-on-hop-off trains and boats.
The hiking tours encounter a variety of terrain from wide gravel paths, to narrow and rocky trails. Our guides set always a comfortable pace which gives everyone time to enjoy properly each aspect of the day: take photographs, admire the scenario, learn more about flora and fauna of the area.

Touristic (T): no special skills are required and even people without a fitness base will enjoy these trips. The hiking takes place mostly on gravel/dirt, flat or slightly sloping surfaces, with a possibility of few steps to climb. It develops in the immediate vicinity of towns, tourist resorts, communication routes and is interesting for having a tourist or recreational nature.
Hiking (E): the itinerary does not present particular technical difficulties. The hiking involves the walking up to 3 hours through uneven terrain, across fields, along coastal trails with little elevation gain/loss and some steps; altitude is not a factor.
Expert Hiker (EE): the itinerary presented somewhere technical difficulties. You should be able to hike up to 5 hours on uneven footpaths, with gravel and rocks, high elevation gain and plenty of steps.
